Navigation System for Multi-Rotor Drones (UAVs)

This project aims to create a robust and efficient navigation system for multi-copters (Drones or UAVs) to perform autonomous flights in confined but partially known environments. The flight test is carried out at the Latin-American Robotics Competition annually, as well as within the LASER. The flight height of the Drone can be estimated by embedded sensors. This work also adopts a robust tracking system with integral action that allows the Drone to track 3D trajectories smoothly and accurately. All processing is done on-board in the robot itself. In this project, those involved need to have knowledge of C ++, Embedded Systems and notions of ROS and Mobile Aerial Robots.
